(July 29, 2014)— The first ever Soo Film Festival’s Saturday programming includes a presentation by The Fraternal Order of Cheese of the online cooking show Solid Dudes Kitchen.  Admission is by donation of a non-perishable food item to aid Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank in their effort to collect food for area residents.

The Fraternal Order of Cheese began as a weekly social gathering at Soo Brewing Company and has since grown into an appreciation of food in all forms.  The FOC accepts food bank donations every Monday.

Solid Dudes Kitchen is produced in the Metro Detroit area by Derek Swanson and Dave Graw.  The show began in 2009 and quickly became known for its outrageous recipes and irreverent humor.  Production of a new season is underway now.

Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank exists to ensure good food is available to the hungry in our community.  The EUP branch in Sault Ste. Marie serves Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac Counties and distributes 450,000 pounds of food through 85 agencies.

Festival President Taylor Brugman: “This is a great opportunity to see what can be made in Michigan and to help people in our own community.  The Festival would like to see as many people as possible take advantage of it.”

The Fraternal Order of Cheese Presents: Solid Dudes Kitchen will screen Saturday, August 2, at 1:30, in the Soo Theatre in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.  It is recommended for mature audiences only.

Tickets may be purchased on the Festival website, soofilmfestival.org, or at the Soo Theatre.  For tickets by phone call (906) 632-1930.
