The 2017 Soo Film Festival announces its line-up of narrative and documentary features and shorts, music videos, and animation. The festival places an emphasis on Great Lakes films and filmmakers, but entry was open worldwide. Festival programming will feature international submissions from more than 15 countries. Soo Film Festival is September 15-17 in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at the historic Soo Theatre and, for the first time, Bayliss Public Library, a Superior District Library. Featured selections will screen at the library September 12-14 as part of the festival.
Festival president Taylor Brugman: “We are very excited to expand to another downtown venue this year. This gives the festival an opportunity to show more films and reach more people.”
Tickets will be on sale Friday, September 1, online at soofilmfestival.org. Ticket prices are $7 General Admission (per block), $5 Seniors and Students (per block); $20 Daily Pass (admission to all blocks on a single day); $50 Festival Pass (admission to all films and shorts programs, all days).
